Dollywood Theme Park is the most visited attraction in the Smoky Mountains. Have you visited lately? There’s always something new at Dollywood! Wildwood Grove is this award-winning theme park’s latest addition, and the butterfly mural is a cute spot for the entire family to snap a photo. The mural features three sizes of butterflies, so gather your crew together for one fun photo!

There’s a common theme among most of the murals in the area: Dolly Parton. She is a hometown hero and admired by all, so she is often depicted in local murals. Furthermore, Dolly adores butterflies, and many of the local murals feature various versions of the magical creatures. 

While at Dollywood, don’t miss the new Big Bear Mountain rollercoaster and Wildwood Grove’s other rides and activities. 

Splash Country

Dollywood’s Splash Country Water Park is the coolest place to beat the summer heat. This water park in Pigeon Forge boasts a wave pool, lazy river, and other water slides and activities to entertain the whole family. Additionally, the natural setting and expert landscaping makes this man-made waterpark feel like a mountainous paradise! Once your kiddos are drenched, capture the moment with this whimsical and watery butterfly mural.  

Toy Box Mini Golf

Mill Bridge Hard Cider Company

Find Mill Bridge Hard Cider Company in the Old Mill Historic District, just off the Pigeon Forge Parkway. Overlooking the Little Pigeon River, this is a relaxing spot to rest and savor the flavors of local apples. Pinkie Mistry, the same artist behind two butterfly murals mentioned in the Sevierville Mural Tour, painted the winged beauty found at Mill Bridge Hard Cider Company. Whenever you visit this cidery, take time to enjoy a glass as you admire the flowing river.

In addition to Mill Bridge Hard Cider House, the Old Mill Historic District is home to award-winning restaurants, a candy kitchen, and other shops and boutiques.

Maples Motor Inn

Maples Motor Inn is a quaint and nostalgic place to stay in Pigeon Forge. During the last few generations, Pigeon Forge has grown into a hospitality hot spot. However, this motel is one of the original accommodations in Pigeon Forge, and guests have been staying here for over 50 years. It sits directly on the Little Pigeon River, and the team at this motel has the perfect picnic spot for their guests! Find this stunning mural along the back of the motel along with picnic tables and the flowing river. It’s a picture-perfect place to spend a sunny day! 

This family-owned and operated business is adjacent to some of the best attractions in Pigeon Forge like Crave Mini Golf. From this point, walk down the street to see the next mural.  

Crave Mini Golf

Earlier in the tour, you visited Toy Box Mini Golf. Crave Mini Golf is from the same group, and it’s a delicious destination! The Pigeon Forge attraction boasts an indoor and outdoor 19-hole mini golf course along with mini bowling, escape rooms, and plenty of treats. Remember the sweet time your family had at Crave Mini Golf with a photo of the candy wings mural! This giant mural in Pigeon Forge features bold and colorful butterfly wings made of candies, ice cream, and other sugary treats.

Country Barn Photo Park & Shop

The first selfie park in the United States is in Pigeon Forge, and it’s FREE! Shop in the store to find Smoky Mountain souvenirs. Then, exit through the back of the store to find numerous murals, props, and other backdrops. A visit to Country Barn Photo Park & Shop is one of the fun and free things to do in Pigeon Forge.

Three Bears General Store

2861 Parkway, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863

Just a short walk up the Parkway in Pigeon Forge is Three Bears General Store. This store is a restaurant, attraction, and shopping destination in one! Boasting everything from Pandora jewelry to plush souvenirs, the whole family will love a stop here. Munch on funnel cakes, handcrafted fudge, and ice cream as you shop ‘til you drop, then head behind the store to admire this epic mural!  

The mural at Three Bears General Store is an ode to all things Pigeon Forge. Challenge your kids to identify the top Pigeon Forge attractions depicted in the mural, and then capture their cuteness in front of the butterfly wings. This is one of the most breathtaking murals in the Smoky Mountains. It’s a favorite among the auto enthusiasts who visit for Great Smoky Mountain Jeep Club Invasion, car shows, and other auto-themed events in Pigeon Forge. Those attendees will park their vehicles in front of this mural to take a beautiful photo!

Listening Room Cafe

What started in Nashville in 2006 has now made its way to Pigeon Forge! Listening Room Cafe is a live music venue and restaurant serving fresh food and even fresher tunes. This venue features local songwriters from East Tennessee as well as some of the nation’s most popular acts. Check out this event calendar and plan to visit for some intimate performances and a one-of-a-kind experience. While you’re there, document the visit with a fun photo with the headphones mural!

Azul Cantina

One of the newest restaurants in Pigeon Forge, Azul Cantina is a Tex-Mex restaurant that serves fresh and flavorful dishes along with amazing views from its rooftop bar! After spending the day sightseeing and taking in these murals in Pigeon Forge, enjoy an authentic made-from-scratch meal and beverage while admiring this stunning representation of Dolly Parton.

Hard Rock Cafe

Finally, we finish the tour at Hard Rock Café Pigeon Forge. This restaurant, bar, and music memorabilia mecca is a fun spot to dine, unwind, and grab a souvenir! Formerly Hard Rock Café Gatlinburg, this famous spot moved to Pigeon Forge and continues to be a force in the Smoky Mountain tourism industry. In the spirit of giving back, the brand partnered with the local organization, Friends of the Smokies, to raise funds for the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Painted by local artist Megan Lingerfelt, this mural is the foundation for the fundraising program. It displays an enchanting musical scene inspired by the Café’s memorabilia and musical theme, and the design pays homage to the natural setting of the national park. Notice the firefly and floral details in this large mural, and then try the exclusive food and beverage items associated with the fundraiser. It’s a delicious way to make a difference!
